From Northern California:

NOTE: In the winter season call Caltrans [1-800-427-7623] for an update on road conditions. You may want to use the alternate directions below instead of following Highway 36 from Red Bluff.

Take I-5 south to Red Bluff, CA. At Red Bluff take the CA Hwy #36/CA Hwy #99 exit towards Chico/Lassen Park. Turn left on CA #36 exit and proceed on Hwy 36 east to Hwy 89, Chester and Lake Almanor. Approximately 3 miles before Chester there is the Highway 36 and 89 junction. Turn right or south on Hwy 89 towards Greenville. Continue on 89 south through Greenville to Crescent Mills. One mile south of Crescent Mills turn left, east, towards Taylorsville, County A22. There is a small golf course at the corner. Follow A22 into Taylorsville. In the town it is named Main Street as well. Stay on the road through town, past the Rodeo grounds on your left. At that point the road goes slightly to your right, follow that. If you stay right on Main/A22 you will be fine. Continue on A22 for approximately 6 miles through the trees. As you come into the valley you will see the buildings that make up the 'town' of Genesee and Genesee Home will be the first building on your right. There is parking on the west side of GH just off of A22. Come around to the front and we will meet you there. Please feel free to come right into GH no need to knock. You are Welcome.

Note if you are arriving in the dark, Genesee Home is approximately 6 miles east of Taylorsville. You will come into the valley and the first lights you see on your right is Genesee Home. We will have the parking lot lights on for you. It is easy to miss the mail boxes at night. If you go farther than 6 miles, turn around.

ALTERNATE DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH: Instead of taking Highway 36 at Red Bluff take Highway 99 south towards Chico and stay on 99 until the Highway 99 adn 70 junction. Take Highway 70, left towards Lake Almanor/Quincy. Note: the last food and gas service before the ranch is in Chico/Oroville. (However, there are rest stops/restrooms on the way up Feather River Canyon.) Stay on Highway 70 (heading East) from Oroville for approximately 122 miles and approximately 1½ hours until you come to the junction where Highway 89 intersects Highway 70. (Note the mileage markers on your way up the canyon indicating how far to Quincy. The turn on to Hwy 70 is 10 miles west of (before) Quincy). Turn left (north) on Highway 89 toward Greenville/Lake Almanore for approximately 6 miles. Turn right on Arlington Road (Rt. A22) toward Taylorsville (immediately after you turn right and cross the railroad tracks you will notice a golf course on the left). Taylorsville is approximately 6 miles East of Highway 89 (don't blink or you might miss Taylorsville). Continue on straight through town and approximately 1/4 mile out of town the road will "Y" and you will want to stay to the right. At the "Y" you will notice the rodeo grounds on the left. Continue on past the rodeo grounds heading East for approximately 6 miles, and as you see the wooded area opening up to a small valley, you will be entering The Neff Family Ranch and Genesee Valley.

PLEASE NOTE: THE FINAL DESTINATION, AS SHOWN ON MAP QUEST, INDICATES THE PROPERTY A MILE TO THE EAST OF ITS ACTUAL LOCATION. GENESEE HOME IS LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF GENESEE, WHICH IS SHOWN ON THE MAP DIRECTLY TO THE WEST OF THE "STARRED" LOCATION.
